Romo were honoured to be awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the second time in April 2017.
We received this award for our success in International Trade which has been achieved through excellence in the
design and marketing of luxury fabrics, wallcoverings and accessories and our expertise in developing export
trade through a dedicated international distribution network.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s highest accolade for business performance and recognise the
outstanding achievement made by UK companies.
Romo previously received the award in 2008 and since this time we have significantly grown our Export sales by
further developing our established fabric and wallcoverings brands: Romo, Villa Nova and Kirkby Design, using
design and innovation to maximise sales potential throughout the world. In addition, we launched three new
brands, Zinc Textile and Mark Alexander in 2010 followed by Black Edition in 2013.
We have also grown our international operations, particularly in the USA by expanding our sales team and
investing in new showrooms. This considerable investment in brands, designs, new products and our sales and
distribution network has enabled us to greatly increase worldwide sales over recent years.
We are proud to have won this accolade and we are especially appreciative of our staff, suppliers and customers
worldwide who have all played their part in helping Romo achieve this wonderful award.
